US 250: Book Conversation + Reflection

Join librarians in a reflective conversation about the founding of the United States using The Greatest Sentence Ever Written by Walter Isaacson and Ken Burns' The American Revolution documentary.

Discuss and reflect with other adults about the contradictions of our nation - the establishment of a democracy but the hypocrisy of those who wrote it. We will explore this topic by discussing The Greatest Sentence Ever Written by Walter Isaacson as well as bits from the Ken Burns documentary The American Revolution using The Library Programming Toolkit provided by The American Revolution Resource Engagement Center. You can pick up a copy of this book at the Central Library by asking a staff person to grab it for you. If you would like it sent to another library, please reach out to Erin (email below).
