MakerSpace (3rd Floor)A relaxed space for teens and adults to make art, chat, and try new things.
Come hang out, make some art, and enjoy casual conversation with other creative folks at our Monthly Maker Meetup. Bring your own project if you’ve got one or jump in on a guided activity led by staff. It’s a low-pressure way to unwind while connecting with other teens and adults who like to create.

This program does not fulfill the Basic Use & Safety training required for the following Deschutes Public Library MakerSpace equipment:
- Soldering Iron
- Cricut Cutting Machines: Maker 3
- Sewing Machines: Baby Lock Joy
- Serger: Baby Lock Celebrate
- 3D Printers: Prusa MK4 (Redmond) and Prusa Core One+ (Central)
Customers who are 17 or older and hold a valid Deschutes Public Library card can schedule a 30-minute training appointment with a MakerSpace staff member. Once a training is complete, equipment is available for use during Explore hours on a first-come, first-served basis.
Training appointments can be scheduled on the MakerSpace webpage. Children under 17 are welcome to attend the training with their guardian.
