This show is intended for all ages. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a caregiver.
Mike Della Penna creates wonder and laughter with family magic performances that are equal parts playful and astonishing. Celebrate the magic of reading with this fun, funny magic show for all ages.
During Mike’s 45 minute Summer Reading Magic Show, the audience will actively participate in storytelling, games, laugh-out-loud fun, and amazing and inspiring magical effects.
Mike Della Penna is a former Boston stand-up comic, 20-year comedy improv vet and third-grade school teacher. He returned to magic, his childhood hobby, when he moved to the Bay Area in 2004. Since then he has performed to laughter and acclaim across California, and won some awards to boot. He loves magic's combination of fun and surprise and shares in the wide-eyed wonder of his young audiences.

About the branch
The drive-thru is open daily from 10 am - 6 pm.
The Central Library has a varied collection of English and Spanish language materials and hosts a variety of events and programs for all ages. Meeting and study rooms are available on every floor; a dynamic children’s discovery space is on the second floor; and a hands-on MakerSpace and dedicated co-working area are located on the third floor. You’ll also find free and fast WiFi and diverse public art throughout the building, as well as a Thump Coffee café in the lobby.
