Kids Fresh Pasta Class
Summer With the Library
Tuesday, June 23
5:00pm - 6:30pm
Arome
432 SW 6th Street. RedmondLet's make lasagna!
This workshop is intended for children ages 7 and up. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver.
Registration is required.
The kids have been asking, so we’re making it happen! In this class we’ll learn how to make fresh pasta from scratch - with our bare (gloved) hands. Then, we’ll roll out the pasta dough and combine the fresh pasta sheets with pasta sauce, ricotta, parmesan and mozzarella cheeses to build individual lasagnas!
We’ll send the ready-to-bake lasagnas home with the kiddos with baking instructions. After the demo, kiddos and parents will enjoy a plate of lasagna, salad, and bread in the bar. Non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. Attendees receive 10% off the purchase of any class ingredients during the event.
We can accommodate requests for vegetarians for this event with advance notice, but unfortunately cannot offer a vegan option.
Allergens - dairy, gluten
About the Instructor:
Mary McGuire is the Store Manager at Arome. She was born and raised near Lodi, CA and spent the first 16 years of her life working in health insurance. She has always had a passion for cooking and baking (especially fresh pasta and cheesecakes!), and two years ago decided it was time for a big change and moved to Redmond. She instantly fell in love with the culture and people, especially the spring and summer when the farmer’s markets and product stands are open. When Mary isn’t at Arome, she is usually home trying out new recipes or hanging out with her tiny dog, Paige.
