Enjoy an hour of music courtesy of Central Oregon Symphony.
Music in Public Places is a program of the Central Oregon Symphony Association. MIPP concerts are designed to offer serendipitous music experiences for the community, free of charge. The Central Oregon Symphony is a community-based orchestra, the success of which is grounded in the tremendous generosity of its members who volunteer their time and talent for the love of orchestral music. The ensemble was formed in 1967 as a part of the expanding Central Oregon Community College Fine Arts Department. From modest beginnings the orchestra has grown to become a major player in the local fine arts scene.
The Central Oregon Flute Ensemble (COFE) is the largest flute performance group in Oregon outside of the Portland area, comprising upwards of 20 members from all backgrounds and all walks of life. Under the direction of Sue Steiger, Mikaela Storm, and Ryan Zwahlen, the group entertains audiences with a wide range of accessible music – from classical to popular to contemporary. The group regularly plays concerts in Bend, and has made guest appearances at performances of the Cascade Horizon Band and the Bend Pops Orchestra.
