Workshop Leader:
Carol Fox raises Nigerian Dwarf goats on her one-acre micro-farm in Redmond. A retired RN, she previously taught “Survival Gourmet” cooking classes at the Free School in Santa Cruz, CA. Nine years ago, she moved to Central Oregon to fulfill her goat-raising dreams—only to realize how much she didn’t know! Now, she’s eager to share her hard-earned wisdom with others who are goat-curious.
She also makes cheese, yogurt, and even the occasional goat milk ice cream, and she’s been known to convert even the staunchest goat cheese skeptics with her mild, creamy, “un-goaty” goat cheese.
School of Ranch is a Central Oregon based 501c3 nonprofit. They hire experienced locals to teach practical homestead skills, live and in person. Beyond teaching skills and creating paying gigs, they help strengthen our community by providing common ground for people regardless of politics, background, age or beliefs.
