Creative 1 (2nd Floor)Learn the basics of cursive writing for teens.
This program is intended for high school aged youth. Registration is requested to ensure materials are available. Cursive is still a useful skill for everyday life. It can help you read historical documents, letters, postcards, family records, and handwritten notes. Many forms and official documents also require a signature, and learning cursive can make signing your name feel more comfortable and confident.
In this introductory workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of cursive writing and receive worksheets to continue practicing at home.
We will:
- Review proper pencil grip
- Discuss paper placement for both right- and left-handed writers
- Practice lowercase and uppercase letters
- Learn how to connect letters into words
- Practice signing our names
All materials are provided. No prior experience is needed.
