Community 2An introduction to geocaching from A to Z!
All children under 11 years old must be accompanied by a caregiver.
This indoor presentation covers everything you need to know to get started with the world’s largest real-world treasure hunt. We’ll walk through app navigation, cache types, terminology, and best practices for finding and logging caches. Following the presentation, we’ll head outside for a guided walk to locate a real geocache nearby. Learn how to use your smartphone or GPS device to locate hidden geocaches, navigate using coordinates, and follow proper geocaching etiquette once you make a find.
About the Presenters:

Jean and DeWayne have been active geocachers since 2009 and are on track to find their 20,000th geocache later this year. Retired and living in Bend since 2009, their caching adventures have taken them across Oregon, all 50 U.S. states and 17 countries.
