Community 2Learn the answers to the ten most asked questions of bicycle fits and safety.
This event is intended for teens as well as an adult audience.
Whether you're a new cyclist or an experienced rider, this engaging presentation answers the ten questions cyclists ask most often about how bike fits improve cycling safety, riding comfort, and cycling performance.
The first half of the presentation focuses on questions asked about professional bike fitting. Discover why saddle height, crank arm length, handlebar position, pedal setup, and rider biomechanics all influence comfort, efficiency, and injury prevention. We'll separate cycling myths from evidence-based practices and explain when a professional bike fit can make the biggest difference.
In the second half of the presentation, we will discuss how you can improve your safety on a bicycle. Topics include helmet selection, visibility, traffic positioning, braking techniques, tire pressure, common causes of crashes, and simple habits that can dramatically reduce the risk of injury. You'll also learn how proper bike maintenance contributes to safety and how to identify potential problems before they become dangerous. Attendees will leave with practical tips they can apply immediately, helping them ride farther, more comfortably, and with greater confidence on every ride.
