This Poem Came to Me

Write Here

Cultivating inspiration from everyday moments.

Space is limited and registration is required.

There’s no thrill like a lightning bolt of inspiration! When a poem seems to just appear out of thin air, it feels mystical, magical even, like some unfathomable force we just have to hope will find us. In truth though, we don’t have to wait at all! We can learn to cultivate inspiration, so that its electric pulses are readily available at our fingertips. In this workshop, we will read poems and excerpts on this topic, and we will mine them for strategies that we can employ in our writing practice every day. Together, we will test out a variety of writing prompts, share what we’ve written, and leave humming with an infinite supply of new ideas.
