Mindfulness activities for families to reduce overwhelming feelings and stress.
Mindfulness activities help teach our bodies and minds how to regulate the nervous system. Learning Mindfulness exercises as children instills the tools our kids need throughout their lives in school, home, and communities. Families will learn Mindfulness and emotion-regulation together through fun and engaging stretches and games. Learning these skills with your children and practicing at home will help the whole family learn how to regulate emotions, handle everyday stressors, have meaningful discussions about feelings and how to safely express them.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move freely in. No special equipment is required, however, you are welcome to bring a mat or towel to sit on. Chairs are provided.
All abilities and bodies are welcome and included!
Developing sensory skills in children 0-5 years old gives them the building blocks for healthy social skills, emotion regulation, and stress tolerance. During these sessions, families will learn skills and tools for supporting sensory development in their children, and kids will have a blast playing!
