Recreate Mrs. Doubtfire's iconic dinner!

Space is limited and registration is required. 21+ 

Join Arome’s Store Manager, Mary, for a demonstration on making the fancy Valenti’s takeout dinner that Mrs. Doubtfire orders in the movie after burning the hollandaise sauce (and getting set on fire).

On the menu: spinach linguini and cajun shrimp in pink cream sauce with roasted carrots on the side. For dessert, we’re making a nod to the iconic “Run By Fruiting” moment with Lime Possets. After the demonstration, attendees will be invited to build their own plate to enjoy in the wine bar.

Wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options will be available for purchase, and the register is always open for other shopping, as well. Attendees receive 10% off the purchase of any class ingredients during the event.  And, yes, we’ll have a stiff chardonnay on the menu.  Light and woody the way Mrs. Doubtfire likes it.

We are able to accommodate requests for a vegetarian option for this event but unfortunately cannot offer a vegan option.

About the Instructor:

Mary McGuire is the Store Manager at Arome. She was born and raised near Lodi, CA and spent the first 16 years of her life working in health insurance. She has always had a passion for cooking and baking (especially fresh pasta and cheesecakes!), and three years ago decided it was time for a big change and moved to Redmond. She instantly fell in love with the culture and people, especially the spring and summer when the farmer’s markets and product stands are open. When Mary isn’t at Arome, she is usually home trying out new recipes or hanging out with her tiny dog, Paige.
