Youth Programing (2nd Floor)Monthly book club for kids ages 6-9! Read together, craft together, and celebrate library joy together!
This fun and interactive book club is designed for new and emerging readers to develop literacy skills, build confidence, and appreciate the joy of reading together. We will have a monthly book choice chosen by Librarian Erin that we will read together during the program. After reading together, we will do a quick craft or activity related to the book. Each participant will receive a free copy of the book read to keep after each book club meeting.
Because of the nature of this program, registration is required.

Mercy Watson: Princess in Disguise
Mr. and Mrs. Watson have a pig named Mercy. Mercy is a porcine wonder. It's Halloween, and Mr. and Mrs. Watson have decided on the perfect costume for Mercy. Though it takes a little convincing to get her into it, Mercy is encouraged by the promise of treats. For what could be better than a treat-getting adventure? Especially if it involves a chase...

Bear and Bird: The Cave & Other Stories
Bear and Bird may not always understand each other, but they both want nothing more than for their best friend to be happy. So, when they each find today's date circled in red, they obviously assume it's the other one's birthday (so sorry, Snail!). And when Bird puts her pal through his paces--to prove he's himself and not his look-alike cousin--she finds a sweet way to soothe an unhappy Bear when the test is done.
