Community 1A poetry event with Oregon poets Carol barrett and Judith H. Montgomery
Join poets Carol and Judy as they read poems saturated with color from a new anthology, The Color Wheel. It features 117 poems by 117 poets—and five are from Oregon. Imagine the delirium of yellow as bees take to the flower garden, or the cool green of a stream where lovers reconnect. The scarlet of that red dress daring to wear, the black dress unbuttoned by the mistress as she drives home. We invite visual artists as well as writers across the spectrum to join us.
Judy (blue/gold/black) and Carol (pink) will read their own poems and a rainbow’s worth of their favorites from the anthology. They will be happy to talk about writing and how color enriches writing and life in the Q and A afterwards. A few copies of The Color Wheel will be available for purchase, as well copies of Carol and Judy’s own poetry books.
