First crafts for Preschoolers

Draw, color, paint, glue...let's try something new!

Join an Early Learning Community Librarian for a bit of artistic expression and early literacy skill building! Children will work on developing fine motor skills, shape identification, texture description, and color exploration through the process of completing an interactive craft. The same craft will be available at all library locations, but there will be a new craft each week! Developmentally appropriate for ages 3-5, but all are welcome. Examples and instruction will be given but please expect to remain and assist your child with the craft during the program. Supplies limited. 40 min. 

¡Ven a disfrutar de un momento de expresión artística y fomentar las habilidades de alfabetización temprana! Los niños trabajarán en identificar formas, describir texturas y explorar colores con manualidades interactivas. La actividad es adecuada para niños de 3 a 5 años según su etapa de desarrollo, pero toda la familia es bienvenida. Se ofrecerán ejemplos e instrucciones, pero se espera que los adultos acompañen y ayuden a sus hijos con la manualidad. Materiales limitados. Duración: 40 minutos.
