Let’s talk cheese! Enjoy stories from Oregon’s rich cheese culture, while you taste artisanal cheeses that showcase the best from the Beaver State. Learn about those crunchy crystals, how to select lactose-safe cheeses, and much more. This is your chance to ask all your curd nerd questions and learn more about cheese than you ever imagined. Presented by Teri Tith, ACS CCP, from Talking Cheese in Bend.
About the Presenter:
Teri Tith is a Certified Cheese Professional. She also holds a Level 3 certificate in Wine from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust and is seeking a credential in Sake. Today, there are just over 1,000 people who hold the CCP credential, issued by the American Cheese Society. You must have at least 4,000 hours of experience in the industry in order to sit for this exam. You may recognize Teri from her years working at the Market of Choice Specialty Cheese counter. She also works independently as a cheese educator and consultant, “spreading the good word about artisan cheeses” in Bend and beyond. Her business is called Talking Cheese.
