Learn how to create layered gelli-plate prints using mushrooms.
Registration required. This class is intended for adults.
In this workshop, Anastasia Zielinski — artist and owner of FREAK’N ART — will guide participants through the process of creating gelli-plate monotype prints inspired by the theme of rot. Using mushrooms and other materials, students will experiment with texture, layering, and color to produce one-of-a-kind prints. Monotype printmaking is a form of printmaking where each print is unique, encouraging play, discovery, and improvisation. Gelli plates make it easy to build complex layers using textures, stencils, and found imagery. Participants will leave with a set of richly detailed prints celebrating the unexpected beauty of fungi.
