Invigorate your Writing with a powerful setting. This is an in-person program. Registration is required. In this workshop, we explore the potential of place to help move our fiction, nonfiction, or poetry forward. We?ll practice bringing real or imagined history, personification, and speculation to bear on our settings, and see what fresh imagery, themes, and points of view arise to invigorate our works in progress, or help us start something new. Bring something to write with and on. Optional: bring a work in progress if you have one! Ellen Santasiero has work forthcoming in Bull Men?s Fiction and in Dorothy Parker?s Ashes. Past writing appeared in The Sun, Northwest Review, Marlboro Review, The Stay Project, High Desert Journal, and in Going Green, an anthology from the University of Oklahoma Press. In 2021 she co-edited PLACED: An Encyclopedia of Central Oregon, Vol. 1. She currently teaches at The Forge, a 10-month online creative writing program she co-founded in 2021. *cr*
