Come listen to Irish dance tunes and singsongwriter folks songs. This is an in-person program. Ian's 5-string banjo, 4-string tenor banjo and voice will be accompanied by Collin Rhoton's rhythmic guitar and bass playing. Expect authentic, mildly jazzy folk songs woven together with Irish dance tunes & bodhr?n playing. Ian hopes that audiences will walk away with fresh perspective, buoyant spirits, and kind hearts. Ian Carrick grew up in Bend and works as a community songleader and music educator throughout the High Desert region. Grounded in his conviction that music is ultimately a communal practice, this year Ian is producing a locally-inspired family-oriented album of folk songs intended to restore relationship with the planet, between one another and within ourselves.
