Drop in for an hour to donate blood and help others.
The Red Cross provides about 40% of our nation’s blood and blood components, all from generous volunteer donors. But supply can’t always meet demand because only about 3% of age-eligible people donate blood yearly. Each new donor helps us meet patient needs.
At the blood drive, donors are greeted, complete a quick health screening, and give blood under the care of trained professionals. Each donation is then tested and processed to help patients in need of transfusions.
The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization dedicated to preventing and alleviating human suffering in the face of emergencies. Through the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors, the Red Cross provides lifesaving blood and blood products, supports disaster relief efforts, offers health and safety training, and assists military families and veterans. Founded in 1881, the organization continues to serve communities across the nation with compassion, preparedness, and care.
