Know Sustainability - Sustainable Farming in the High Desert
Saturday, January 07
11:00am - 12:00pm
Downtown Bend Library
Community Room (Brooks)Hear from local farmers about their sustainable practices. View the recording here https://youtu.be/oGa7dfeaaZk We'd love your feedback and suggestions regarding library programming. Take the survey at https://dpl.pub/survey2023. There is a wide spectrum of what we call sustainable farming. We will explore farming practices, certifications and labels, the local food system, and more. At Boundless Farmstead David and Megan use organic and sustainable practices to grow wholesale and retail vegetables, poultry, and eggs in Central Oregon. Boundless Farmstead was not the plan all along. Born not from heritage, ancestry, nor conformity, but from an uncontrollable, rampant, and unbounded desire to do what we learned to be right; to tend the earth and to leave this world a better place for generations to come. Boundless Farmstead's mission is to grow and cultivate healthy plants, animals and community and to form creative and sustainable practices by observing, listening and studying. *cr* *yt*
