Learn to identify birds by sight and sound, as well as their habitat preferences.

How to Prepare:

  • Be prepared to walk up to two miles on uneven terrain.
  • Bring binoculars.
  • Bring sunscreen.
  • Dress in weather-appropriate outerwear and good walking shoes.

Damian Fagan is a former National Park Service ranger and field biologist. He has led birding trips for COCC's Continuing Education program and is known to break out in spontaneous owl hooting!
