Tired of the bottom of your pants dragging on the ground? This is a class for people who want to learn how to hem jeans and pants the professional way, maintaining the original distressed hemline. This demonstration will go over each step, from measuring, pinning, and sewing. It's perfect for beginners who want to do simple alterations to have the perfect-fitting pair of jeans. Hemming the professional way is like magic, and no one will know you didn't buy them this way. No need to bring in jeans with you, as this will be a demonstration.
About the Instructor:
Tova Opatrny is the creator behind the YouTube channel Professor Pincushion, making high-quality video tutorials for beginners. Tova's work has appeared in HuffPost, Good Housekeeping, and Cosmopolitan, among others. She's written the book Professor Pincushion's Beginner Guide to Sewing: Garment Making for Nervous Newbies.

The drive-thru is open daily from 10 am - 6 pm.
The Central Library has a varied collection of English and Spanish language materials and hosts a variety of events and programs for all ages. Meeting and study rooms are available on every floor; a dynamic children’s discovery space is on the second floor; and a hands-on MakerSpace and dedicated co-working area are located on the third floor. You’ll also find free and fast WiFi and diverse public art throughout the building, as well as a Thump Coffee café in the lobby.
