Craft Swap and Share
Saturday, January 24
1:00pm - 3:00pm
Redmond Library
Community 3Share your unused craft supplies, and find something new.
Calling all crafters! Are your supply bins bursting at the seams? Want to declutter and refresh? Looking for some artistic inspiration? Then, join us at the library for a craft supply swap and share. This is your opportunity to mingle and chat with like-minded, crafty people! Your new, gently used, or surplus craft supplies could be the treasure another local artist is seeking and vice a versa.
Here’s how it works:
- Who: This is an in-person program. All are welcome, including youth, and those seeking to “shop”, as donated supply tends to exceed demand.
- What: No broken tools or unusable items. All items are free. Donated craft/art supplies must be clean, and in good working condition. Please, sort and organize items ahead of time. Examples of supplies to consider donating to the Craft Supply Swap & Share include but are not limited to:
Yarn (all colors, wool, acrylic, etc.)
Fabric (scraps, remnants, whole pieces)
Beads (glass, wood, plastic, as well as wire or thread)
Paints (watercolor, acrylic, gauche, fabric, brushes, canvas)
Paper (cardstock, scrapbook, construction, watercolor)
Crafting tools (scissors, rulers, glue guns, and other useful items)
- When & Where: Qualifying craft/art supplies will be accepted on the morning of Saturday, January 24th at the Redmond Library, Community Room. The general timeline is as follows:
9:00am—11:00am: Early bird supply drop & set-up.
1:00am—3:00pm: Doors open, first 15 minutes set aside for additional items to be organized onto themed tables.
3:00—4:00pm: Surplus items will be gathered for educators, local donation, and recycling.
