Meeting 3 (3rd Floor)Capture summer in a poem.
Space is limited and registration is required.
The season is fleeting in Central Oregon—why not hold onto that summer feeling by capturing it in a poem? Join Irene Cooper for a summer poetry workshop in which we'll stargaze and road trip with the likes of Aimee Nezhukumatathil and Ada Limón, play with language, and create new poems to share around the campfire.
About the Instructor:
Irene Cooper wrote the poetry collections spare change, finalist for the Stafford/Hall Award; even my dreams are over the constant state of anxiety; and octets, a chapbook of original form. She is the author of the novels Found, winner of the North Street Prize, and Committal. Irene supports AIC-directed creative writing at a regional prison, co-hosts raging writers/spoken words, and teaches in the middle of Oregon, where she lives with her people & Roxy.
