Know Coast - Fiber Arts Seascape Workshop
Use paper and fabric to create a unique seascape "Painting."
This is an in-person program. Registration is required.
Learn how to make a fiber-based seascape "painting." Anastasia shares her unique fiber-based collage technique that will have you creating layered and visually stunning seascapes. Discover how to use sheer and semi-transparent materials to visually mix colors and create depth within your composition. Materials will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring in your own scraps to incorporate into your art (think a piece of clothing that's unraveling, your favorite candy wrapper, buttons, lace, ribbons, etc.). Bring along a reference photo or painting you would like to work from. Anastasia will also have some images on hand to use.

Scissors will be available, but participants are welcome to bring their own pair.
Anastasia Zielinski is a multidisciplinary artist and arts educator. Her practice centers around painting, fiber-based collage, and installation art. She received her BFA with a minor in art history from Pratt institute (Brooklyn, NY 2005). Ms. Zielinski has shown her work nationally and internationally, creating site-specific installations for INSCAPE arts, Shunpike?s Storefront Seattle, Spaceworks Tacoma, and CLAVO. Recent residencies include Casa L? and eeeee, both located in Mexico City. She is featured in issue #40 of CREATE! Magazine. Anastasia is one of the 2023 recipients of the Jerry Goldstein Foundation award. Ms. Zielinski currently lives and works in Bend, Oregon.
