Explore how confidence can help navigate change and challenges.
Bola Gbadebo, a local journalist, poet and filmmaker, calls Bend her community. Over the years, she has had the joy of telling stories as a news reporter and waking up early with you as the morning news anchor for NewsChannel21. Now, she is excited to share something close to her heart—a documentary she created called Confidence.
This film isn’t simply a collection of interviews; it’s an intimate journey into the lives of remarkable people in our community—their struggles, their victories, and the heart of who they truly are, beyond what the world sees. Her inspiration to create Confidence grew from her own journey, navigating life's challenges. She wanted to understand how others approach hardships and persevere through them. In these interviews, she received answers so genuine and profound that she knew they had to be shared. Confidence serves as a gentle reminder that we have more things in common than we do apart. Bola invites you to pause from the hustle and bustle of life and experience the depth and resilience that lives in our community.
Come for the film and stay for the conversation as we come together to reflect, laugh, and share in this special experience.
