Learn the process of bookbinding to bind your favorite fan-created works. This is the first of a four-part series.
Registration is required. This program is intended for teens and young adults (ages 14-19).
Over the course of this four-part series, participants will learn the art of bookbinding along with the ethos of using fan-created work. At the end of the series, each participant will have created one (1) complete book. During this first session, participants will learn about the process of bookbinding before creating a Title Page in Canva and typesets in Word.
What is "fanbinding"? Fanbinding is the process of binding fan-created works including fanfiction and other original works into a one-of-a-kind book. Any books created in this workshop are for personal use only.
Prior to the first session, choose a piece under 150,000 words to bind. If you are planning to bind a fanfiction, you must ensure that you have author's permission to do so.
