In this presentation, “How to Write the Killer Crime Novel, or How to Up Your Odds of Getting Published," Joe Ide will discuss the gatekeepers, what they look for. Also, advances, royalties, and movie options. We’ll cover creating vivid characters, sharp dialogue, pacing, rewriting, and answers to practical questions. How do I start? What if I’m stuck? How much money will I make? How do I develop my voice?
