Go on an imaginary trip to Japan using library books and sensory materials. Participants will read and listen to folk tales and explore travel books, photographs, music, and physical objects from Japan. Snacks inspired by Japanese delicacies will be provided. This program is developed for older adults with Alzheimer?s Disease or dementia and their caregivers. It?s aimed to assist in retaining reading ability while socializing with others. Tales and Travel Memories is an award-winning, evidence-based program developed by Mary Beth Reidner at the Gail Borden Public Library.
