Explore Antarctica!
Antarctica is a unique and remote continent with no native human population. It is teeming with animals, from penguins to whales, and has a large, transitory scientific population. Look into the impact of melting glaciers, explore the arctic tern's epic migration, and explore ways to get to Antarctica through tourism or work. Could you survive in -112 degrees Fahrenheit??
Each month we explore a new idea, and this month it's Antarctica. This was suggested, and voted on, by last month's participants.
If you would like to suggest a theme for the future, email Josie: josieh@deschuteslibrary.org
