At Tayas Yawks, the focus is on family values, culture, and the sense of community where the mindset is of care and concern
About The Organization:
The Good Medicine mobile treatment unit is staffed by Traditional Health Workers, Certified Recovery mentors, and licensed behavioral health professionals, alongside nursing students from Oregon Health & Science University who provide screenings, health education, and basic medical services. This multi-disciplinary team delivers same-day behavioral health assessments, Oregon Health Plan enrollment, naloxone distribution, linkage to MOUD and detox partners, and culturally grounded recovery support directly in the community, including encampments, rural communities, and community events.
