Stories & Strollers

Meet friends, listen to stories, and walk in Drake Park. 0-18 months.

Join other adults and babies for a gentle story time in Drake Park, followed by a walk. This is your opportunity to build a new habit, promote early literacy, and enjoy the fall weather. Bring your strollers, water bottles, hats, sunscreen, and comfiest shoes.

Directions: From Downtown Bend Library, follow NW Louisiana Ave to Drake Park. Find the story time circle to the west of the public restrooms. 

About the Program: Only 15 minutes long, followed by a 20-minute walk on the paved pathway along Drake Park.

This Stories & Strollers program is weather and smoke-dependent. This program will be cancelled if there is snow/ice on the ground, or the temperature rises above 85 degrees at the start of the walk, or if the AQI level is over 100. Check our online calendar for any weather-related cancellations.

All abilities are welcome. Our number one rule is no one will walk alone.
