Learn how to write a letter and get your very own pen pal in another state!
Ever wanted to have a pen pal across the country? Now's your chance! This program will teach kids all about writing a letter, how to address them, what fun things you can include, etc. We will be connecting with libraries in Massachusetts and Illinois to exchange letters throughout the year! Starting in October, we will have set drop off and pick up dates for kids to safely exchange letters without including home addresses.
This program is intended for elementary-aged children and keeping this age group is important due to the nature of the program. Please stick to the age guidelines for this program.
If you are a caretaker for a neurodivergent child and attending in-person programming is difficult or causes discomfort, please reach out to Erin at erinh@deschuteslibrary.org to request a take-home kit with instructions and materials. We will have a limited number of kits for neurodivergent kids.
If you have any questions, please contact Community Librarian Erin at erinh@deschuteslibrary.org
