Welcoming social event for people with dementia and care partners
A welcoming social opportunity for people living with brain changes (due to MCI, Alzheimer’s, or any type of dementia) to attend along with their care partner. Each month, we’ll enjoy a fun, dementia-friendly activity together as we build community connections. We meet the 1st Tuesday of each month, from 2:00-3:30pm in the Brooks Room at the Downtown Bend Library.
About the leader: Each month's gathering will be led by local dementia expert, Patty Schwab, of Bend's Dementia Support Community LLC. Patty is a master's level gerontologist and dementia navigator with training and experience in Montessori dementia care, adaptive recreation, care partner support, and life enrichment for people living with dementia.
