Learn tips for honing critical thinking skills and identifying misinformation.

Registration recommended.

With the fast pace of 21st century media, superspreaders of misinformation have it easier than ever. The result is that we're all faced with misinformation, and learning to recognize it is more important than ever. At the top of this pyramid are the lobbyists and think tanks -- and those who fund them -- crafting the original message. It's then spread by armies of politicians, personalities, and the mass media; but they only represent one front in the information war. What's the other front, and more importantly, what can you do to fight back? Learn tips for honing critical thinking skills to help identify misinformation and find resources and solid information to guide your understanding of, and decisions about, critical issues.

This session was developed with SAGE, (Senior Advocates for Generational Equity) and an organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting people over fifty to give forward so that future generations thrive.
