A multi-age charcuterie board class featuring pickles, olives, and sourdough.
Supplies are limited. Registration is required. Participants will create a medium-sized charcuterie board to take home (feeds approximately 3-4 people). If you would like to split your registration slot with another person (friend, partner, family member, child) to work together on the same charcuterie board, please contact elsah@deschuteslibrary.org.
Unleash your creativity with fermented foods! Though meats and cheeses will play a small role in this workshop, these grazing boards will showcase pickles, olives and sourdough bread. Participants will enjoy a guided tasting of olive varieties, sample various sourdoughs, and learn more about the acidity, crunch, and balance of different pickles. Learn ways to showcase and pair each element, and combine all three into a cohesive, beautiful spread.
This workshop is offered by Tara Pinto of Wild & Free Charcuterie. Tara’s passion for food runs deep, rooted in a generational love for culinary artistry. After a lifetime of studying under her father and expanding her skills in Tuscany, she brought her expertise home to create a woman-owned, family-operated business that has been transforming food into edible art for over three years. She takes pride in using locally sourced ingredients to craft stunning charcuterie boards, grazing tables, and custom catering for any occasion. Recently, she expanded her offerings with an Italian-inspired food truck, bringing a taste of Tuscany to local events. Experience the perfect blend of tradition and innovation with Wild & Free Charcuterie.
