Mindfulness activities for families to reduce overwhelming feelings and stress.
Mindfulness Movement – A fun and engaging activity for children and their families to learn basic Mindfulness skills and tools. The session will begin with a brief welcome and short discussion about the Mindfulness topic of the day, and a story book reading. This will be followed by instructor-led easy movements, stretches, and games! The movements and games are all able to be modified for any level of ability. Children and their families will learn ways to regulate and calm their bodies, minds, and emotions during stressful situations.
No special equipment required. It is recommended that participants wear clothes they can easily move in.
