Explore the senses through art while learning creative confidence!
This session of B.U.R.S.T. will include sensory driven creative projects. Children and their families will get to play with and explore different art/craft mediums while learning tools to regulate emotions and sensory stimulation. There will also be a focus and attention to learning how to create without self-doubt. This will be accomplished by practicing language with each other that uplifts without criticism.
Developing sensory skills in children 0-5 years old gives them the building blocks for healthy social skills, emotion regulation, and stress tolerance. During these sessions, families will learn skills and tools for supporting sensory development in their children, and kids will have a blast using all of their senses to create wonderful art pieces! Please wear clothing you don't mind getting a bit messy!
