Learn to create wholesome, main-meal, seasonal salads that satisfy.
Registration is required.
Warming stews, casseroles, and hearty chilis become staples for our meal planning once the weather turns brisk, but we all know we still have to get our veggies in. One of my favorite ways to do so is with fresh and delicious main-meal seasonal salads using winter greens, veggies, grains, protein, fruits and nuts. Main-meal winter salads use the best of this season's offerings, but it is easy enough to make a great, simple side salads as well for every day or the holidays. These salads are delicious, nourishing and colorful too. Think beyond chicken Caesar, tuna salad or three bean salad!
Suzanne will share some cooking tips, ideas and advice on how to create satisfying winter salads. Come sample several of her creations from her cookbook, The Passionate Vegetable.
